MilesAhead is a luxury travel concierge, founded in 2012, that wants to bring the human touch back to travel. Whether for business or leisure, with points or cash, and for a weekend or a month, our travel advisors look forward to showing you how great your travel experience can really be.

MilesAhead holds a focus on reward point optimization and the client experience. Our clients have said that they "will never go back to normal travel agents", and we look forward to continuing these strong relationships with our past, present, and future clients. With every new client, comes a new adventure — a new experience is created, a new relationship is born, and a new story is developed.

So come work with us. We're already excited to plan your next adventure.

HISTORY

MilesAhead began in 2012 with CEO & Founder, Rob Karp. At an early age, Rob developed a passion for the travel industry and a drive for customer experience. As he progressed in age, Rob learned about the power of points. He continued to develop his airline knowledge and began helping out family and friends with their travel in his spare time.

What began as Rob's hobby and passion developed into the company it is today. Rob purchased the software needed to run the company with the $600 he had from soccer refereeing and hasn't looked back since. Now, MilesAhead consists of employees all over the country.

Rob karp — ceo & Founder

At age 14, Rob Karp developed a passion for the travel industry and a drive for delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Rob is now a 20-year old rising senior at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Self-taught, Rob developed his airline knowledge by learning about points and helping family & friends with their travel. The company grew exponentially during Rob’s freshman year at Cornell University, where he met most of today's employees at the School of Hotel Administration. Today the company is powered by more than fifteen dedicated and passionate college students. Rob and his team have visited hundreds of hotels and countries, spanning from Italy to Bora Bora to Japan. The team utilizes time off from school to travel the world and deliver first-hand knowledge to 1,500+ clients.

Rob has been featured in various news outlets, including New York Times, Travel Weekly, Travel & Leisure, CBS, Fortune, Forbes, Bloomberg TV, and various Ivy League publications. Rob has also been named one of Travel + Leisure’s International Rising Stars and was a Virtuoso Rising Star nominee.
